Biscuits and gravy

Biscuits and gravy is classic comfort food, and it's unbelievably easy to make.  With just a few ingredients, your gravy will come together very quickly.  If you don't feel like making biscuits from scratch, you can get frozen biscuits to bake as the gravy is cooking, or use a biscuit mix.

I don't measure because I don't always make the same amount.  Regardless, all you need is:
Your favorite breakfast sausage
Flour
Milk
Black pepper

Start by browning the sausage.  Drain the grease and place sausage back on medium low heat.  Sprinkle with flour and stir.  Pour milk over the sausage and mix well.  This works just fine with skim milk, so use whatever milk you have.  Getting a feel for just how much milk may take a bit of practice.  If it ends up too thick, simply add more milk.  Grind on some black pepper to taste and stir every so often until the gravy reaches the desired thickness.

That's it!  Serve over hot biscuits and enjoy.
